"singing frog"

"singing frog", originally uploaded by pejnolan.

I wanted this little guy to be camouflaging in with the background. The red "N" in the circle is from an initial stamp I bought years and years ago. J. took the reference photo: www.flickr.com/photos/pejnolan/3475730197/

  2. Thanks, Kathleen! I added gold ink to the spots on the bottom after this photo was taken. He's really cute now!

  3. I think he's pretty cute anyway as is, but I'd really like to see the gold spots, sounds great. You did a great camo job. I love his expression :)

  5. Very cool! I find really old prints that look like this a lot - you've got a classic style!

  6. Thanks, Bri! I haven't really studied other prints. But I have looked over early Japanese and German styles. I really want to show pattern and texture. I love aboriginal art, but don't want to outright copy that style, so I use symbolism and patterning. I also am learning how to use different sized tools to their advantage.
